Transformative Arts and Research Initiatives Fellowship (TAARIF), 2025

The TAARIF Fellowship, organized by the Centre for Studies in Gender and Sexuality (CSGS) at Ashoka University, supports early-career trans* scholars in India to conduct interdisciplinary research on gender, sexuality, and trans* studies. This five-month fellowship provides mentorship, research training, and a platform for publishing cutting-edge queer scholarship.

Last Date to Apply: April 10, 2025

Duration: 5 months (June 1 – October 31, 2025)

Eligibility Criteria:

• Open to early-career trans* scholars under 35 years old
• Must hold at least a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
• Prior research experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Strong English writing and communication skills required
• Must have access to a computer and internet for remote work
• Preference for applicants not employed full-time
• Candidates from marginalized communities are encouraged to apply

Stipend: ₹50,000 per month + fieldwork allowance
